NEW RANGE-3 MOKUME GANE PENDANTS

Contemporary Jewellery
We make individual items of jewellery using Polymer Clay, Dichroic Glass, Pewter and Sterling Silver.
All items are handmade by Alison and Paul at their studio in rural Gloucestershire.
Alison is one of the founders of the British Polymer Clay Guild and has shared her skills teaching the techniques of working in the medium to many students.
You can see our jewellery in galleries in Gloucestershire, Somerset and Herefordshire, and at the annual Christmas Market in Bath.

This fine and original jewellery is created from colourful manmade clays. Some of the jewellery is made using a modern adaptation of an ancient Venetian glassmaking technique called millefiori (thousand flowers). The highly detailed images are made by forming the pattern from the coloured clays within a bar or cane with the image in cross section, like a stick of rock! The image can be reduced to any size. Slices are then cut and individually applied to form the item of jewellery. Because of this production technique all designs are limited editions - some pieces are unique.
Other techniques we use include Mokume Gane, which is a method borrowed from traditional Japanese metal working, where layers of folded material are cut back to discover grain like patterns.
