Some of Alison's workshops that she will teach to individuals and groups are:

Silk screening onto polymer and making a variety of jewellery itemssilkscreen

 Kaleidoscope canes

Learn how to build the most fantastically detailed kaleidoscope canes by making each component part and combining, cutting and mirroring them. You will then be able to make jewellery of your choice, earrings, pendants, beads for a necklace or bracelet tiles.

Mica shift techniques and ghost imaging

The mica flakes in pearlised clays give beautiful shimmering tones and shades. You'll learn how to manipulate clay to distort the mica and produce exciting variations in colour and illusions of depth in patterns.

 Flower and leaf canes

Using millefiori techniques you can create colourful, amazingly realistic images of flowers and leaves. We'll cover shading, graduation and emphasis of colour. By the end of the day you'll have the ability to make a whole bouquet of wonderful blooms.

  Faux stones

Polymer clay is the perfect medium for mimicking semi precious stones. Turquoise, amber, coral and lapis lazuli are some of the examples we will run through.

  Mokume Gane

Mokume Gane is a Japanese metalworking technique that translates as 'woodgrained metal'. We will replicate this skill by stacking layers of clay, sometimes including metal leaf, distort them by imprinting and then slice thin pieces to reveal the pattern.
